Jordan Nuccio, DVM, CVA
she/her
Dr. Jordan Nuccio grew up in Virginia and attended veterinary school at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts, graduating in 2005. She and her husband felt the call of Oregon and moved to Portland in 2007 after a brief stint in Northern California. Jordan spent many years working in integrative veterinary medicine in both Northern California and the Portland area and is I.V.A.S. certified in veterinary acupuncture and has had extensive training in herbal medicine. She is also Fear Free Certified. Dr. Nuccio has a special interest in preventative medicine and approaches illness as an imbalance in the system. She most enjoys the collaborative process of caring for pets with their people and is thrilled to be joining the amazing team at Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Nuccio is also deeply involved with PAW Team, a local non-profit that provides veterinary services to the pets of people experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty, where she is an active board member, the medical chair, and a frequent clinical volunteer. In her role at PAW Team she works to support program development with an emphasis on ‘One Health’, recognizing that the health of people and their pets are interdependent. Dr. Nuccio also works to support the human-animal bond as the consulting veterinarian for Kaiser Hospice’s Pet Peace of Mind Program.
When not working with animals and their people, Jordan is usually found working with her husband at their vineyard and winery, Evesham Wood, and with her two kids, two dogs, and two ponies.
