Kylah earned her Bachelor of Science from Portland State University and has over 6 years of experience in the field. During her career, she has worked for the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW), Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), and The Oregon Zoo.

Kylah is passionate about veterinary medicine; she loves that it incorporates helping those who don't have a voice and learning something new every day. In 2022, Kylah joined the team at Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital, eager to work in an environment that values support, community, and inclusivity. Kylah is also Fear Free Certified.

Outside of work, Kylah can be found lifting weights at the gym or going for walks by the river. She loves living in Portland with her partner and tortoiseshell cat, Beans. Trying local new foods and going paddle boarding in the summer are some of the few ways she likes to stay connected with the community. She also enjoys writing poetry and journaling on a rainy day.
